Taking the first step toward behavioral health care can feel overwhelming. At Strategic Therapeutic Solutions (STS), your first appointment is an opportunity to discuss concerns, explore needs, and begin developing a personalized path toward healing and recovery. You do not need to have all the answers.
BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT
Our team will explain scheduling, insurance verification, payment options, and required documentation. Bring photo identification, insurance information if applicable, a current medication list, and any questions or relevant health information you wish to share.
A CONVERSATION, NOT A TEST
Depending on your needs, a qualified clinical professional may conduct an assessment addressing emotional well-being, physical health, substance use, relationships, daily functioning, and treatment history. You can ask questions and discuss privacy protections and applicable confidentiality limitations. You can begin exactly where you are. You do not have to tell your whole story on day one.
FINDING YOUR STARTING POINT
Together with your care team, you can identify concerns, explore goals, and discuss appropriate services. These may include mental health or substance use treatment, psychiatric care, peer recovery support, or case management. Your preferences and experiences matter in treatment planning.
WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?
Following an assessment, your clinician will discuss individualized recommendations, which may include outpatient counseling, intensive outpatient services, psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and other coordinated supports. The team will discuss next steps, scheduling, and how your plan may change with your progress.
GIVE YOURSELF ROOM TO BEGIN
Your first appointment does not need to resolve every concern. Healing takes time, and care should respect your experiences, strengths, and goals. Your journey does not have to begin with certainty. It begins with taking the first step.
HEAL. GROW. THRIVE.
