Conditions We Treat
Trauma informed outpatient care that helps you feel safe, steady and in control of your life again.
Understanding the Condition
Difficult or traumatic experiences can leave lasting emotional, psychological, and physical effects. Some individuals experience distressing memories, heightened anxiety, difficulty trusting others, or challenges feeling safe and connected. Our trauma-informed approach recognizes that healing is personal and occurs at each individual's pace. We help clients develop coping skills, strengthen resilience, and move forward with greater confidence.
Recognizing the Signs
These are common signs, not a diagnosis. Everyone responds to trauma differently, and support can help whenever you are ready.
Experiencing intrusive memories, flashbacks, or trauma-related nightmares.
Experiencing heightened alertness, feeling constantly on guard, or being easily startled.
Experiencing emotional numbness, detachment, or difficulty connecting with others.
Avoiding people, places, or conversations that trigger traumatic memories.
Experiencing sleep disturbances or difficulty concentrating.
Experiencing persistent feelings of guilt, shame, anger, or fear related to trauma.

Your Care Journey
Your first visit is a calm conversation with a licensed clinician, about 60 to 90 minutes. You do not have to share details of what happened until you are ready. We begin by building safety and grounding skills to manage strong reactions, and only then work gently through the impact of trauma. You stay in control of the pace throughout.
Common Questions
Do I have to talk about what happened?
Not until you are ready, and only as much as you choose. Treatment starts with feeling safe and building coping skills.
What therapies do you use for trauma?
Evidence based, trauma focused approaches delivered by licensed clinicians. Your clinician explains the options and you decide together.
Can trauma treatment help if I also use alcohol or drugs to cope?
Yes. Many people do, and we treat both together with one team and one plan.
Is trauma treatment covered by insurance?
Many insurance plans cover outpatient therapy and IOP. We work with a growing number of plans, offer self-pay and sliding-scale fee options, and check your coverage before you start.
