Conditions We Treat
Confidential outpatient support for adults who want to cut back or stop drinking, while staying at home and at work.
Understanding the Condition
Alcohol use can affect physical health, emotional wellness, relationships, employment, and daily responsibilities. Whether someone is questioning drinking habits, having difficulty reducing consumption, or seeking help for alcohol use disorder, STS offers a supportive, judgment-free environment to develop practical recovery skills and healthier patterns.
Recognizing the Signs
These are common signs, not a diagnosis. If several sound familiar, a confidential assessment can help you understand your options.
Important Information About Alcohol Withdrawal: Alcohol withdrawal can be serious and, in some cases, life-threatening. If you experience withdrawal symptoms, seek medical guidance before reducing or stopping alcohol use. Severe symptoms, including seizures, confusion, or hallucinations, require immediate emergency medical attention.
Consuming alcohol in larger amounts or over longer periods than intended.
Experiencing strong cravings or persistent thoughts about drinking alcohol.
Developing increased tolerance, requiring more alcohol to achieve the same effects.
Experiencing difficulty reducing or stopping alcohol consumption despite repeated attempts.
Experiencing employment, family, or daily responsibility challenges related to alcohol use.
Experiencing withdrawal symptoms, including trembling, sweating, or anxiety, when reducing or stopping alcohol use.

Your Care Journey
Your first visit is a confidential assessment with a licensed clinician, about 60 to 90 minutes. We talk about your drinking, your health and your goals, and check whether you need medical detox first; if so, we help you arrange it. Then we agree the right level of care, which may be IOP or outpatient counseling, with peer support and relapse prevention built in.
Common Questions
Do I have to stop drinking completely before I start?
No. We meet you where you are. Your clinician will also check whether you need medical support to stop safely.
Do you offer detox?
STS provides outpatient treatment, not detox. If you need medical detox, we help you find a safe option and welcome you into treatment afterwards.
Will my employer or family find out?
Your treatment is confidential and protected by federal law. We only share information with your written permission or where the law requires it.
Is alcohol treatment covered by insurance?
Many insurance plans cover outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment. We work with a growing number of plans, offer self-pay and sliding-scale fee options, and check your coverage before you start.
