MHPS and/or RSPS
At Strategic Therapeutic Solutions, we recognize that being understood by someone with lived experience can bring hope and connection to the healing process. We welcome certified peer specialists who use their recovery experience thoughtfully to encourage adults navigating mental health or substance use challenges.
You will join STS’s skilled and compassionate interdisciplinary treatment team, bringing the distinct perspective of peer support to collaboration with clinicians, psychiatric providers, and case managers. Together, we coordinate care throughout each client’s healing journey while honoring personal choice, different recovery pathways, and the value of lived experience.
How You Will Make a Difference
- Use purposeful sharing of lived experience, supportive listening, and encouragement to help clients explore their own recovery goals.
- Provide individual peer support and facilitate approved peer support groups within your certification and assigned program.
- Support self advocacy, wellness planning, community connection, and navigation of recovery resources.
- Collaborate with the treatment team while preserving the person directed, nonclinical nature of peer services.
- Help clients communicate needs, prepare for care conversations, and maintain connections during treatment transitions.
- Document peer services, participate in qualified peer supervision, maintain boundaries, and promptly route safety concerns.
